Soil Treatment

Used for subterranean termites gaining entry into the building through an abutting soil-treated area. If there are termites in the building, at the time of soil treatment, they cannot safely return to their central colony nest through the treated soil. Termites are compelled to return every few days to their central colony nest in the ground to obtain moisture essential for their survival and to feed and groom the nymphs (young termites), the king, queen, and other termites. The installation of a soil barrier requires expert knowledge and specialized equipment to form a complete barrier to protect the building from termite entry and infestation.

Termidor

Termidor is a water-based chemical, has virtually no smell, and is of ultra-low hazard to humans, dogs, cats, and other mammals. Termidor does NOT have an obnoxious odor or emit airborne residues or fumes. It is registered as a low-hazard termiticide with a CAUTION notation on the registered label.

Structural Fumigation Vikane Gas

Depending on the extent or location of the infestation, fumigation is the only total control method proven to eliminate certain infestations of wood-destroying termites. Because Vikane is a gas, prior to fumigation, the structure is completely sealed. This serves to contain Vikane in the building, so it can penetrate the wood and building contents to thoroughly eliminate the termites. The building will remain sealed depending on the specifics of the job. Click here for more information on Vikane Gas.
